Eleanor Albert
Eleanor M. Albert is a PhD candidate in political science at the George Washington University. Her research interests include Chinese foreign and domestic policy, and China’s participation in global governance. Eleanor previously worked for the explanatory journalism arm of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. She holds a dual degree masters from Sciences Po Paris and Fudan University in Shanghai, and a BA from Vassar College.
Stephen Rangazas
Stephen Rangazas is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at George Washington University. His research interests include violence against civilians, insurgent taxation, and the uses of historical conflict data. His dissertation explores the effectiveness of government indiscriminate violence during civil wars with a particular focus on the Vietnam War. He holds a B.A. from Indiana University.
Sverrir Steinsson
Sverrir Steinsson is a Ph.D. candidate in the Political Science Department at George Washington University, where he concentrates on international relations and comparative politics. He studies international security, integration, state formation, and secession. He examines changes in the number and size of states over time.
He has published in Cooperation and Conflict, Foreign Policy Analysis, European Security, and Scandinavian Journal of History, as well as chapters in edited collections for Oxford University Press and Routledge.
Alexander Wright
Alexander Wright is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at The George Washington University. His dissertation examines the role of external actors in interstate war, and their influence on war duration and outcomes. He is an active duty Naval Officer with combat experience in the F/A-18 Super Hornet. He will be teaching at the U.S. Naval Academy upon completion of his doctorate.
