The Politics and Economy of China: Uncensored (政經最前線 無碼看中國): This bi-weekly Taiwan-based podcast focuses on China’s influence in the world. It doesn’t shy away from its pro-Taiwan bent. It has episodes on topics such as Strait unification, potential of nuclear war on Taiwan, Chinese vaccine leadership, etc. Start with a recent episode that discusses a potential armed conflict in the Taiwan Strait.

Farsi:

Man O To TV: This is a news-oriented podcast channel featuring domestic, cultural, and international news.

Streets of Rage: This podcast focuses on human rights issues in Iran,with a particular focus on tracking human rights violations and protests against the regime.

French:

Comprendre le Monde: Produced by Pascal Boniface, director of The French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs, this is an approximately monthly podcast which features discussion of geopolitical issues affecting France.

Conflits: A bi-weekly podcast on global security published by the Paris-based journal of the same name. Episodes focus on the study of war from contemporary and historical perspectives. Consider a recent episode, “Afghanistan: l’échec américain,” that features an interview with General Vincent Desportes, who is the former director of France’s military academy, l’Ecole de guerre.

An economic journalist, Tetsu Machida, selects the latest important political and economic news each week and analyzes them from his perspective. Listen to the recent episode, “The Biden Administration’s Decoupling Policy toward China – Will Japan’s Options be Limited?” that discusses how Biden’s decoupling policy toward China may pose global challenges and impact the U.S.-China competition as well as Japan’s political and economic choices.

Chun Geun Lee’s International Politics (이춘근의 국제정치학): This podcast focuses on international affairs and politics with a particular focus on Korea, China, and the United States. Analiz ve görüşler: This podcast discusses foreign policy, security, and international politics topics and is produced by Anadolu Agency, a state-run news agency known for its support for the current administration in Turkey. 

 

Vaşington raporu: This podcast is also produced by Anadolu Agency, yet strictly discusses American politics and foreign policy. It is an interesting podcast where one can explore what the Turkish government might be thinking about specific developments in the United States. It’s called the “Washington Report”. 

 

Ahval: Ahval, or “events”, is a media company funded by the United Arab Emirates that primarily produces content in Turkish. Their coverage is seen as critical of the Turkish government. The AhvalPod offers regular podcasts in Turkish (as well as English). It offers analysis on Turkish and international politics.

 

Vietnamese:
